FAQs About OurStore & Service

When are your sales? Do you ever have a store-wide sale?

There is a permanent women’s sale area at the back of our store. The men’s sale rack usually comes out in January, February, July, and August (no guarantees, though). We never have a store-wide sale. Sign up for our email newsletters to receive notifications about sales and coupons.

Why do you have so many sales people?

Getting a comfortable fit requires focused attention, especially when fitting for orthotic inserts and braces. We staff for our busiest times, which come and go throughout each day. We are fortunate to have such a busy store. Thank you!

What is that foot measuring device called?

The Brannock Device is something you’ll see us using in the store many times, every day. Some of the Brannocks we use today are from our original Main Street store.

How do I get my loved one a pair of shoes if they can’t leave their home?

If possible, get a tracing of their feet while they’re standing up and bring that in to show us. This gives us a good starting point for size and from there we can discuss your loved one’s shoe needs. You are welcome to purchase several sizes with the intention of returning all but the one that works once they have been tried on at home.

What is your return policy?

Unworn merchandise may be returned or exchanged within 30 days, with the original receipt and box. Returned shoes must be unsoiled and in a new, re-saleable condition. If within the first six months, you experience a manufacturer’s defect with any of our products, please let us know. We will work with you to make it right.

Can you bill my insurance?

No, we do not bill medical insurance. Our store is full of shoes that regularly get recommended by heath care providers to address medical issues, but we are a retail shoe store. Insurance reimbursement depends on your individual coverage. Contact your insurance provider with your questions.

Do you accept flex-spending account cards?

No. We are a retail shoe store so the flex-spending accounts do not recognize us as a health care provider or medical supplier.

Can you refer me to a health care provider?

No. The best person to ask is your primary care provider.

Do you keep records of my size and purchases?

We are happy to store your records only if you request this service at checkout. If this is something you’d like us to do, please ask us to record your information in our system before you pay. We do not automatically store your personal purchase information.
